PRINTING Mailing Labels
After battling with the Microsoft Office Assistant, I have written instructions on how to create mailing labels from SAS or Excel datasets.
Export the SAS saveset as an Excel worksheet.(on desktop suggested.)
Start Microsoft Word
Tools> Mail Merge
Create> Mailing Labels> Active Window
Get Data> Open Data Source
Select file type: Excel Worksheet
Select Worksheet created above.
Entire spreadsheet? YES!
Set Up Main Document
Select form> ***** 5163 Shipping ***** (2" x 4" labels)
Insert Fields(Variables) from selected spreadsheet,
position appropriately, skip lines as needed.
Merge> Merge
Edit> Select All
Center lines
File> Page Setup> Set Margins Top=0.5, Bottom=0.5, Left=0, Right=0
Ignore "Outside printable area..."
File> Print> Portrait, single sided...
